At any rate, for what it's worth, the game delivers a good experience and will see your strategic muscles bend and twist. The top down perspective allows you to have enough of an insight into the battlefield, and will not feel stifling most of the times, though, certainly, you will make use of the minimap quite extensively. You get to construct buildings, you get to order different types of units around, and, at a higher hierarchical level, you get to dictate what type of emergent strategy to use in whichever scenario you are pitting yourself against. Mechanically, the game feels like a modern RTS. The game here will see you battling as a merc, trying to put an end to the domination and the conquest wants of the skaven, a rat like set of creatures which try to dominate the world. There are 2 different timelines in the universe: one that is set in the far away future and another one in a medieval like past.
